Landscape Design in Sanford

We plan beds, plants, paths and lawn around how you actually use your yard, then the same small crew that measured and sketched it does the planting. You get one set of people, one clear plan and a finish that holds up season after season.

A plan first, then plants that belong where they go

Landscape design is the thinking that comes before the digging. It decides where beds sit against your home, which plants suit each patch of sun or shade, how rainwater leaves the yard, and how paths, lawn and planting connect. A good plan keeps you from buying the wrong shrub twice.

Our crew is small on purpose. The people who walk your property and draw the plan are the same people who set the edging and place every plant. Nothing gets lost in a handoff, and you speak with the same faces from the first visit to the last walkthrough.

We design for strong Central Florida sun, sandy soil that drains fast and heavy summer storms, so the plants we choose keep their shape and color without constant replacing.

What a design from us includes

Walkthrough and measurements
We measure the beds and lawn, note where sun falls through the day, find the low spots that hold water and look at the view from your main windows. Existing trees and irrigation heads go on the sketch too.
A scaled planting plan
You receive a drawn plan showing bed lines, plant names, quantities and spacing. Each plant is placed for its mature size, so foundation shrubs do not swallow windows or walkways in a few years.
Plants chosen for the spot
We lean on Florida-friendly and native plants where they fit, and save thirstier choices for places where they earn their keep. Texture and bloom times are layered so the beds look considered in every month.
Edging, mulch and finish materials
We talk through the materials honestly: how pine bark, pine straw and rock age, and which edging holds a clean line against St. Augustine runners. You see samples before anything is ordered.
Coordination with water and stone
If beds need drip lines or zones moved, we plan that alongside our irrigation work. Paths, borders and patios can be drawn into the same plan and built through our hardscape installation service.

Signs your yard needs a real design

  • Plants keep failing in one spot

When the same corner kills every shrub you set there, the problem is usually light, drainage or soil, not bad luck. A plan matches the plant to the conditions.

  • Shrubs have outgrown the house

Hedges covering windows or pressing against siding are a sign they were planted too close or too large for the space. Redesigning the foundation beds fixes it for good.

  • Water pools or mulch washes out

Puddles along the walk after a storm, or mulch spread across the lawn, point to beds that were never graded for runoff.

  • Grass struggles in the shade

Thin turf under oaks rarely recovers. A shade bed often looks better and asks far less of you.

  • A blank slate after removal work

Once trees, stumps or bamboo come out, the open ground deserves a plan rather than whatever fills in on its own.

How a design project runs

  1. 1

    Phone call and property walkthrough

You tell us what you want from the yard by phone, and we set a time to walk it with you. That visit and the estimate are free.

  2. 2

    Plan and written estimate

We return with a drawn plan and a line-item estimate covering plants, materials, soil prep and labor, so you can see where every cost comes from.

  3. 3

    Adjustments before anything is ordered

We change plants, move beds or phase the work until the plan fits your taste and budget. Only then do we source the plants and materials.

  4. 4

    Installation by the same crew

We clear old growth, prepare and amend the soil, set edging, place and plant everything, and mulch. The property is cleaned up at the end of each day.

  5. 5

    Final walk and care notes

We walk the finished beds with you and leave plain watering and care notes for the first months while roots establish.

What shapes the cost of a design

Every yard prices differently, and we would rather explain why than quote a number blind. Your written estimate breaks the work into lines you can question. If a larger plan makes more sense paid over time, we can finance amounts as high as $100,000, with terms anywhere from two to twelve years and no penalty for paying it off early.

Size and number of beds
A refreshed front entry is a very different job from a full front and back plan. More square footage means more plants, soil and labor.
Plant size at installation
Smaller container plants cost less and grow in over a season or two. Larger specimens give a finished look on day one at a higher price.
Removal and soil preparation
Pulling old shrubs, roots and tired mulch, then amending sandy soil so new plants can root, adds time that depends on what is already there.
Stone, edging and irrigation changes
Paver borders, rock, metal edging and new drip zones each add material and labor, so we price them as separate lines you can keep or drop.

Landscape design questions

Something not covered here? (407) 305-3430

Who will actually be working in my yard?

A small crew that stays with your project from the walkthrough through the final planting. We are business licensed and fully insured, and we have been in business since 2018. You will not meet a new team halfway through.

Can you keep the plants I already have?

Often, yes. Healthy palms, trees and established shrubs that suit their spot can anchor the new design, and we plan around them. We will tell you plainly if something is in decline or in the wrong place.

How long until the yard looks finished?

Installation itself usually takes days, not weeks, depending on size. The beds look tidy right away, and most plants spread and thicken over the first one or two growing seasons as roots settle into the soil.

Will the plants handle summer heat and a winter cold snap?

We choose plants with both in mind, favoring varieties that tolerate full sun, heavy rain and the occasional freeze. Placement matters too, so tender plants go where the house or trees give them shelter.

Can you provide a plan for my HOA?

Yes. Our drawn plan lists plant names, sizes and bed layout, which is usually what an architectural review asks to see. We can adjust the design if the board requests changes before work begins.
